Below our suggested itineraries on Strava, tested and beloved by local cyclists and by customers from all over the world.
1. Fiesole – Monte Senario
Distance 48,54km – Elevation 1.376m
A challenging tour for fit riders: From Fiesole ride up along the Via dè Bosconi, with nice panoramic views, and the climb towards the monastery “Santuario di Monte Senario”, where you can enjoy a stunning panoramic views on the Florentine hills. Ride back towards Florence riding through Vaglia and Pratolino, where you may visit the Villa demidoff with its nice park.
2. Firenze – STRADA in Chianti
Distance 47,69km – Elevation 816m
Strada in Chianti is the first village in the vast area of Chianti. The route takes place on simple roads with picturesque views. We suggest a visit to the village of Impruneta, famous for its excellent extra virgin olive oil and terracotta production.
3. The tour back to Florence through the Passo del Sugame and La Panca
Distance 77,21km – Elevation 1.316m
Is a lovely ride for those looking for very challeging rides.
4. A nice alternative Greve – Monte Fioralle – San Casciano
Distance 72,10km – Elevation 1.581m
More challenging but worth every effort, as you will be enjoying breathtaking views and unspoiled nature along the way. Riding through Chiesanuova will be quieter, but please be careful on Le Gore, last winding downhill. The Giro di Piazza is very popular among local riders.
5. Riding from Firenze – Siena along SR222
Distance 73,15km – Elevation 1.704m
Scenic and quiet road, 75 challenging km ride, and it might be useful thinking to taking a train back to Florence. Train schedule.
6. Vinci
Distance 92,64km – Elevation 1.212m
Challenging ride along the area west of Florence, on wonderful hills, with though uphills, sug-gested to strong riders.
7. Ride to Mugello and the Bilancino lake
Distance 84,82km – Elevation 838m
Woods, fields, romanic churches, typical Tuscan countryhouses will be a nice background for your lovely pics.
8. The tour Bilancino – Passo della Futa
Distance 103,63km – Elevation 2.341m
Requires a good fitness level
9. Giro della Consuma
Distance 115,70km – Elevation 2.202m
All local bike riders love the Giro della Consuma, but motorcycle lovers love it, too, so please be careful on the weekends. Challenging and scenic route, without shadow, so please bring plenty of water with you and avoid the hottest hours of the day. We suggest to visit the lovely church Pieve di Romena and the Castle of Romena in the Pratovecchio area.
